On March 24, 1981, Chicago Fire Department Firefighter Ted Waliczek of Truck 54 suffered a heart attack while fighting a fire at Santucci’s Restaurant on S. Cicero Avenue. Waliczek’s on duty injuries contributed to his subsequent death on May 10, 1982.
