Incident Summary
On April 13, 1966, Chicago Fire Department Battalion Chief Howard E. Sweeney, commander of Battalion 9, was stricken during a restaurant fire. A thirty year veteran of the department, Sweeney suffered a fatal hear attack two days later at his home.
