Incident Summary

On May 14, 1949, Chicago Fire Department Lieutenant Edmond P. Kett of Engine 11 died from injuries he had sustained while on duty at the Engine 11 firehouse. Kett had been fatally injured when he fell down a flight of steps on May 6.

Funeral services for Kett were held on May 18 at the Our Lady of the Angels Church, and he was buried in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. He was survived by his widow and six siblings.
