On January 15, 2011, Lieutenant Patrick Hannon of Truck Company No. 15 of the Chicago Fire Department died of a heart attack at the Company Firehouse.
Lieutenant Hannon became a member of the Department December 1, 1988. Hannon was survived by his wife, a Chicago Fire Department paramedic; and two daughters.
