Incident Summary

On October 7, 1980, Chicago Fire Department Firefighter Darryl Williams of Engine 68 collapsed during a house fire. Firefighters were unable to revive Williams at the scene, so he was taken to St. Anne’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead from a heart attack.
